We are very excited about this summer’s program, which includes a mix of theorists and experimentalists discussing topics ranging from solar neutrinos, to accelerator-based neutrino beams, to supeova neutrinos.The lectures will take place every Thursday at 1pm CT from June 9 to mid-August.  از من در مورد خبر زیر پرسیدند:https://www.livescience.com/magnetic-higgs-relative-discoveredاین پدیده ای که کشف کردند یک ذره جدید بنیادی نیست. برخی اثرات جمعی در سیستم های پیچیده بس ذره ای را  دوستانی که در آن زمینه فعالیت می کنند ذره می نامند اما این ذرات، بنیادی نیستند.  این نوع پژوهش ها در تخصص من نیست و در نتیجه نمی توانم در موردش نظر دهم. اکشف ذره بنیادی جدیدی که جمع فیزیکدانان ذرات بنیادی را به هیجان آورد صورت نگرفته است. در مقاله اشاراتی به هیگز محوری بنیادی و ماده تاریک هم می شود.  ظاهرا کاشف این اثر جدید همان قدر در مورد فیزیک ذرات بنیادی می داند که من در مورد حوزه تخصصی ایشان (یعنی نزدیک به صفر)! اون هیگز محوری که دربرخی از  مدل های ورای مدل استاندارد ذرات بنیادی سروکله اش ظاهر می شود برعکس ذره غیر بنیادی که این گروه کشف کرده اند ممان مغناطیسی ندارد.  اسکالر هست و جهت مرجحی در دستگاه سکون ندارد که دوقطبی مغناطیسی داشته باشد. از این جهت به آن محوری (Axial Higgs) اطلاق می نماییم که برعکس هیگز معمولی- که د ر سال ۲۰۱۲ در سرن کشف آن اعلام شد- تحت پاریته به منفی خودش می رود. جالبه که این گروه برای جذاب تر نشان دادن کشف شان خواسته اند آن را (به زور) به فیزیک ذرات بنیادی ببندند.  پی نوشت:مایورانا یا دیراک حالا که صحبتش شد این را هم بگم: یکی از سئوالات باز فیزیک نوترینو این هست که آیا نوترینوها از جنس مایورانا هستند (به زبان ساده یعنی آیا نوترینو و پادنوترینو یک ذره هستند؟) یا از نوع دیراک می باشند؟ فرمیون های بنیادی دیگر که می شناسیم  مثل الکترون و کوارک همگی از نوع دیراک هستند. همین طور ذرات باریونی تشکیل از کوار سخنرانی عمومی در تیرماه...
